Cottage Caterers with “rhubarb” are delighted to announce the launch of their brand new winelist for 2010. Created by our very own sommeliers, and in conjunction with the excellent team at Enotria, this list is one of the most exciting and eclectic we have produced for a while.

Enotria’s dynamic wine portfolio is as strong in the New World as it is in its renowned Italian and French ranges, so with our suppliers help, we have come up with a list featuring absolutely brilliant producers from both ends of the wine spectrum, as well as some inspired producing technique, incredible nose and fabulous palate. In fact, all our lists’ reds ,whites, champagnes, proseccos and deliciously Summery roses, have something superb to offer even the most discerning wine connoisseur.

If you are looking for incredible Sauvignon for the most delicate Asian canapés, or rich Shiraz for the finest organic fillet, or just for some easily quaffable (and superbly moreish party wine), then this new list has it all.

Cottage Caterers with “rhubarb” are delighted to announce their first joint event at the historic Hampton Court Palace in February.

The event for a bespoke private bank – a reception and dinner for 120 guests – will be held in the Palace’s Queens Dining Room and Cartoon Gallery. With stunning views of Fountain Court and fabulous 16th Century ‘cartoons’ lining the gallery’s walls, the two spaces will be truly breathtaking backdrops for the delicious new Cottage with “rhubarb” product.

The joint venture between Cottage Caterers and “rhubarb” means that we will now be collaborating on many more exciting events in London and across the Home Counties in 2010.

Sarah's first cookery demonstration in aid of the Guildford children's hospice, Chase, was an enormous success, raising more than £1000 for this local charity.

Sarah was invited to join 30 members of the Chase Friends Group on Wednesday November 18, to help them create dishes on a festive three course menu, designed exclusively by Cottage Caterers with Rhubarb.  

Among the mouth-watering dishes prepared were juicy scallops wrapped in Parma ham and basil, and for main course, succulent breast of guinea fowl with apple and calvados sauce.  Sarah's warm chocolate and beetroot cake served with mascarpone went down particularly well, and we have heard that there have already been successful attempts to recreate dishes at home!   

Chase is a children's hospice service, offering a network of care and support to more than 1,200 families in the south with life-limited children. With their hospice, Christopher's, located just outside Guildford, Chase must raise £3.5 million every year to provide their invaluable service.  

The amount raised at the demonstration will fund the care for a Chase family for one whole month.  

Since September 2009 Cottage Caterers has been working alongside “rhubarb” food design in an exciting new joint venture.

London-based “rhubarb” food design is one of the industry’s most celebrated catering companies.
